SUPERSTITION FARM GETS
‘GREEN’ WITH EARTH ACTIVE DAY For all that she’s
worth, come learn from Mother Earth! Mesa, AZ.—On Saturday 4/26, get
mooo-ving on over to Superstition Farm to spend the day getting back to
your roots. Superstition Farm (www.superstitionfarm.com) welcomes families
from all across the valley to a real working dairy farm. Learn about solar
cooking, Permaculture, tour the DOS (Desert Open Space) Garden, ‘green’
projects to do at home, Xeriscape design, and more. Kids will enjoy
performances of Charlotte’s Web and ‘Worm Drive’, the musical.
Up-and-coming farmers of all ages will love the petting zoo, farm tours, a
cornucopia of local foods and vendors, arts and crafts, a hay maze and ice
cream from Udder Delights. See the beginning stages of the valley’s first
Earthship-a self-contained and self-sufficient permanent structure at
Superstition Farm that will demonstrate how a civilization can support
itself through reducing, reusing and recycling. So, w-udder you waiting

•10am -Walking Tours of the Garden set up solar
Cookers.
•10:30 – Ryan Janjo, kids sing-a-long. (Tour Barn)
•11am -Charlotte's Web (Tour Barn)
• 12 noon -Lunch and Lunch Box Game
•1pm -Worm Drive the Musical & worms to take home. (Tour Barn)
• 2pm -Pollution Solutions (reusable bags)
•3pm -seed planting, magic nuudles at Resources for Health booth.
• 3:45- Ryan Janjo, kids sing-a-longs. (Tour Barn).
• 4pm bring out the solar cooked food.
• 5pm Thank yous and goodbyes.

Kids’ Games at Everlasting marks booth, Hayrides, Petting Zoo, Kids Craft at EMNRCD Booth, Horse rides ($5.00), Farm Grill, Udder Delights Ice Cream, and local vendors offering green services!
